About the event
On May 14, 2022, at 7 p.m., the Birgit Werner Foundation is organizing a classic benefit concert with strong women in the Kaisersaal of the Würzburg Residence. The world-renowned Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, conducted by the internationally sought-after young conductor Nil Venditti, will be making a guest appearance in the magnificent ambience of the famous World Heritage Site. The soloist in Clara Schumann's romantic virtuoso piano concerto is the wonderful pianist Luisa Imorde.
In addition to Clara Schumann's recently deserved concert, the second symphony by Louise Farrenc, a strong woman and composer of the 19th century who was also unjustly underestimated for a long time, will be heard. In line with the purpose of the foundation, to strengthen women, especially young women! Empowerment, as an encouraging path to motivating self-determination and beneficial life autonomy and art, the culture that connects everything.
Birgit Süss moderated the evening. The Wunschwerk Catering serves you Höfer Sekt and more in the enchanting garden hall.
Under the patronage of Christian Schuchardt, mayor of the city of Würzburg.
The ticket proceeds and donations from the event benefit the foundation and are non-profit.
NILE VENDITTI
Management
The young Italian-Turkish conductor Nil Venditti has engagements with orchestras such as the Orchestra della Toscana, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ancyra Ensemble based in Ankara.
In November 2019, Venditti was appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Orchestra della Toscana from the 2020/21 season. She was offered the role after her very first visit in July 2019.
During the past season, Venditti has been assistant conductor to Marc Albrecht and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and made her debut at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw with the NedPhO. She also assisted Paavo Järvi and the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra and made debuts with Les Siècles, the Camerata Salzburg and the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra while continuing her conducting studies in Zurich.
At her Camerata Salzburg debut in November 2019, she conducted Fazıl Say in works by the pianist/Komponisten himself, who has become a strong supporter since their first collaboration in February 2018.
With a strong affinity for the core classical repertoire of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, Venditti extends her spectrum to opera, having conducted Mozart's Così fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro and The Magic Flute, as well as Bizet's Carmen and Salieri's Prima, la musica poi le parole . She also assisted Daniele Rustioni in Verdi's Ernani at the Opera National de Lyon.
In the 2020/21 season, Venditti tours Europe with the Orchestra della Toscana, continues to assist the NedPhO in Amsterdam and makes debuts with the Ulster Orchestra, the Orchester National du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchester National de Metz and the Orchester Auvergne.
Venditti was awarded first prize at the national Premio Claudio Abbado for young musicians in 2015 at the age of 20 and won two prizes at the Jeunesses Musicales competition in Bucharest in 2017.
Venditti is committed to finding inclusive relationships with new audiences.

STUTTGARTER CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
In symphonic full cast
The Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra (SKO),
Founded in 1945 by Karl Münchinger, it has developed an unmistakable sound culture since its inception and has thus become a model for many other ensembles to be founded. Under Dennis Russell Davies, the honorary conductor of the SKO, the orchestra also opened itself up to contemporary music. With his successor Michael Hofstetter, the orchestra developed further competence in the field of historical performance practice.
